 Skidplates!

Yes, I do mean skidplates for rally cars. They are a recommended upgrade for the hill climb at my meets, and if you've run it you'll know why. We haven't had any major issues yet, but there are bound to be some in the near future with the force that front bumper hits with.

I personally run a steel skidplate, which looks like a buggy's front bumper and runs the length of the chassis. It's heavy, though, so you may wish to come up with a removable design. Either that, or stock up on bumpers and keep a spare chassis handy after a few meets.

yea... when i HAD my old rally car i had a softer plastic as a skid(dont use)...

one of the things you want to look for is somthing that will slide or skid over the surface!

for example a steel plate is awesome for dirt/gravel...

but i would be worried about it on concrete.. gripping the surface when it bottoms as opposed to a hard plastic which can kind of slip over top??

It's slid well in my tests on the hill since the last meet, so I'm sure it's what I'm going to stick with. You may need to see some of the areas it's needed, though, to understand why.

i actually use a sheet of sticker film..... it slides just enough but still hangs sometimes Sad
